Changing your @handle
You can change it, but not often — and here is why.
Your handle is what other members recognise you by. Edit it from My Profile by tapping your @name.
The limits
- •Once every 60 days. Your first handle, plus one correction if you mistyped it, are free — after that the clock applies.
- •Your old handle is not released to anyone else. It stays reserved, so nobody can pick it up and be mistaken for you.
Why it is limited at all
On a platform where people build a reputation, a handle that changes freely stops being an identity. Someone could collect poor reviews, rename, and be unrecognisable to the next host. The limit keeps your history attached to the name people know you by.
Why it is allowed at all
Because sometimes you need it. A handle with your real name in it, a name you no longer use, or someone paying you unwanted attention are all good reasons to change. We would rather give you the door than make you open a support ticket.
If you need a change sooner than 60 days for a safety reason, tell us — we will sort it out.
