Add an event to your calendar

Put an event you are going to into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook.

Once you have a spot at an event with a set date and time, Add to calendar appears on the event page, just under the date and place. If you accepted an invitation without an account, it is on the "You're in" screen, in your confirmation email, and on the invite page whenever you come back to it.

  • •Apple Calendar — opens the event ready to add on an iPhone, iPad or Mac. The same file works in Outlook and most other calendar apps.
  • •Google Calendar — opens Google Calendar with the event filled in. Check it over and save.

The entry has the title, start and end time, the address, and a link back to the event. An event with no set length is entered as one hour.

When it does not appear

  • •The time is still being decided. It appears as soon as the host picks one — see Voting on proposed times.
  • •You do not have a spot yet. On a Request to Join event it appears once the host approves you.
  • •The event is cancelled or already over.

A calendar entry is a copy. If the host changes the time or place afterwards, Splirg tells you, but your calendar does not update itself. Tap Add to calendar again: Apple Calendar replaces the old entry, while in Google Calendar you should delete the old one.
