Open, Request to Join, and Private events
The three event types and what each one means for getting in.
Every event is one of three types, shown as a badge on the event card.
Open
Anyone can join instantly. Tap Join Event and you are in — no approval, no waiting.
Request to Join
You tap Request to Join and the host approves or declines. Until they decide, your status shows as "Request pending approval". You can withdraw at any point.
Private
Invite only. Private events do not show up in search for people who were not invited — you reach them through an invite link from the host. If you land on one without an invite, you will just see "Invite only".
Whichever type it is, a host can also invite specific people directly.
