Find events near you

How the search bar works, and how Splirg guesses where you are.

The search bar on the home page has four parts: what, where, radius, and when. Only fill in what you care about — leave the rest alone and you get everything.

How the location is filled in

Splirg tries, in this order:

  1. 1A rough guess from your internet connection, so there is something in the box immediately.
  2. 2Your homebase from your profile, which overrides the guess.
  3. 3Whatever you type, which always wins.

If the location looks wrong, just type over it. Setting a homebase on your profile stops it guessing every time.

Radius

Anywhere from 1 to 250 miles. It starts at your default search radius from your profile. Rural areas usually need a wider radius than cities.

Browsing instead of searching

Tap any activity category on the home page to see everything in it near you, then narrow down to a specific activity from the sidebar on the results page.

Events show how far away they are, so you can tell at a glance whether something is genuinely close.
