Asking to bring someone

The "can I bring a friend?" conversation, in the app instead of over text.

When you accept an invitation you can ask the host to bring someone. It is a request, not a booking — on a private event the host decides who comes, and that does not change. They see your ask and say yes or no.

Two ways to ask

  • •Just a plus-one — for someone who does not need their own invitation, like a partner. Nobody gets contacted; the host simply knows to count one or two more.
  • •Someone specific — give a name and an email or phone. Nothing is sent while you wait. If the host says yes, that person gets their own invitation from the host; if the host says no, their details are never used.

One request at a time. Once the host has answered, you can ask again if you need to.

If the host says no

It usually means the event is full or the numbers are already set. The invitation you were sent is unaffected — you are still going.
