Invite the same people again with a list
Save the people you invite together, then add them all with one tap.
Most people invite the same friends over and over, in different combinations — the pickleball six are not the bar four. A list saves a set of people so you can add them all at once instead of typing them in again.
A list is yours alone. Nobody else can see it, the people on it are not told they are on it, and they do not need to be on Splirg — a list can hold Splirg members and plain email addresses or phone numbers side by side.
Making one
The easiest way is to let it happen. Invite some people to an event as usual, and once the invites go out you are offered the chance to save them as a list. Give it a name you will recognise — Pickleball, Book Club, Saturday Hikers.
You can also start an empty one from Your Lists and add people to it by hand.
Using one
- 1Open your event and look at the invite panel — your lists appear as buttons with the name you gave them and how many people are on them.
- 2Tap one. Everyone on it is lined up ready to go, but nothing has been sent yet.
- 3Drop anyone who cannot make this one, and type in anyone who is not on the list.
- 4Hit Send once, and everyone gets their invite.
Tapping a list never sends anything on its own, so a twelve-person list cannot go out by accident. Removing someone before you send affects this event only — it does not take them off the list.
Why the order changes
Lists remember which activities they have been used for. Create a pickleball game and the list you have used for pickleball before comes first; if you have never run that exact activity, a list used for something else under the same category still ranks above an unrelated one. Lists you have used recently come before ones you have not.
Keeping them tidy
Your Lists is where you rename a list, add or remove people for good, delete a list, and clear an activity it picked up by mistake. Anyone on a list who has since joined Splirg is shown with their own name and handle rather than the note you made about them.
If someone asks not to be contacted
Anyone invited through Splirg can ask not to be contacted again. When that happens we remove them from every list of yours they were on, and tell you once on Your Lists so you are not left wondering where they went. We do not say why, and they are not invited again.
