Follow up on your invites
See which invite texts did not arrive, resend them, and nudge people who have not answered.
Once your invites are out, the guest list on your event page shows who has not answered yet — and, if a text did not reach someone, says so.
A text that did not arrive
A red Failed badge next to someone means the last text we sent them was not delivered. Hover over it, or tap it on a phone, to see why — for example, they have opted out of texts, the number is a landline, or the carrier blocked it.
Tap Resend above the guest list to send every failed text again in one go. You can untick anyone first. Each failed text can be resent once; if it fails again, use Send Link to send their invite yourself.
Someone invited by both email and phone still got the email, even if the text failed.
Nudging people who have not answered
- 1Tap Nudge above the guest list. Everyone who has not answered is listed, ticked and ready.
- 2Untick anyone you would rather leave alone.
- 3Add a short note if you like — Need a 4th for doubles, still in? Your note goes out under your name, with the invite link added for you.
- 4Tap Nudge. Each person is reminded the way they were invited, by text, email or both.
Next time you nudge, your last note is filled in, so you can build on it instead of starting again.
Limits
You can nudge each person once a day, and three times per event. Every host sends from the same Splirg number, and if people start reporting it as spam, invites stop reaching anyone — so the limits protect everyone’s invites, yours included.
Notes are capped at 120 characters so they fit in a single text, and cannot contain links. Splirg adds the invite link itself; carriers treat unfamiliar links in texts as a sign of spam.
Someone who asked not to be contacted is never nudged, and nudges stop once the event starts. The confirmation tells you how many were skipped and why.
